Team Story
Meet the extraordinary people behind Decatur’s most extraordinary detached garages.
At MasterCraft Construction, we don’t just hire “workers”, we curate specialists. Every person on this page is dedicated to the same goal: ensuring your new addition is a seamless, stress-free, and high-value extension of your home. From the first permit application to the final brick laid, our team is here to handle the details so you can enjoy the results.

Dan Craft
Founder & Owner
Dan is the driving force behind the MasterCraft philosophy. With decades of experience in high-end construction and a background rooted in architectural precision, Dan realized early on that Decatur homeowners were being underserved by “standard” garage builders. He set out to master the art of the Invisible Addition, a build so seamless that it defies detection.
Dan personally oversees the initial design and material-matching phase of every single project that bears the MasterCraft name. He is known to spend hours sourcing specific brick profiles from obscure suppliers to match a home built in the 1940s, or meticulously custom-tinting mortar batches to ensure they mirror the exact weathered patina of a client’s existing exterior. To Dan, a garage isn’t just a structure; it’s a commitment to preserving the architectural integrity of the neighborhood and a promise to the homeowner that their investment will pay off for generations.

Linda
Office Manager
If Dan and Tina are the vision and the heart of MasterCraft, Linda is the engine that ensures everything moves forward without a hitch. As our Office Manager, Linda is the primary advocate for our clients during the most stressful part of any build: the paperwork. She is a specialist in navigating the specific permitting requirements of the City of Decatur and surrounding North Alabama municipalities.
Linda takes the “headache” out of construction by managing complex HOA approval boards, coordinating site plans, and keeping our project calendars synchronized with surgical precision. She understands that your time is valuable, so she works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that the “red tape” never slows down the progress on your property. When you have a question about your project’s status, a permit update, or a scheduling detail, Linda is the organized, friendly voice on the other end of the line making sure you are heard and informed.

Tina Craft
Co-Owner
As Co-Owner, Tina is the heartbeat of MasterCraft’s operations and the creative eye behind our interior transformations. While Dan focuses on the exterior “match,” Tina’s mission is to ensure that the inside of your new garage is as life-changing as the outside is beautiful. She works closely with our clients to bridge the gap between “storage space” and “lifestyle space.”
Whether you are dreaming of a climate-controlled sanctuary for a classic car collection, a high-performance home gym, or a quiet, professional-grade detached office, Tina ensures the layout, lighting, and finishes are tailored perfectly to your needs. She believes that the construction process should be as enjoyable as the final result, and she prides herself on building lasting relationships with the families we serve. Her goal is simple: to make sure that the day we hand over the keys is one of the best days you’ve ever had as a homeowner.

Ryan
Project Manager
Ryan is our “boots on the ground” leader and the man responsible for turning blueprints into reality. As Project Manager, Ryan leads our specialized crews with a level of discipline that is rare in the construction industry. He doesn’t just manage a job site; he curates an environment of precision and respect.
Ryan is a stickler for the “MasterCraft Rules.” He is the one who inspects the mortar joints, the roof flashing, and the trim alignment to ensure they mirror the original home’s architecture to the millimeter. If a detail isn’t perfect, Ryan is the first to see it and the first to fix it. Beyond his technical expertise, Ryan is dedicated to site cleanliness and safety, ensuring that your property is treated with the utmost respect from the first day of excavation to the final sweep of the driveway. He is the guardian of our reputation, ensuring that every brick laid is a testament to the quality Dan and Tina promised.
